Volunteer Program

The Snowshoe Mountain Bike Park has announced a new volunteer program. Volunteers will earn trail passes, season passes and gift cards for their efforts at our races and chairlift operations. More information here.

Season Pass Prices Announced:

This is the year to own a season pass to the Snowshoe Bike Park! This summer, not only will the Ballhooter lift be running on its typical schedule, but the Western Express will be running every Saturday and Sunday in the months of July and August! You’ll enjoy daily lift-served trail access in the basin, plus 1500’ of vertical drop on weekends in the Western Territory. An unrestricted mountain bike season pass is just $279. Best of all, if you purchase your season pass by May 26 you’ll receive a free entrance into one of our downhill races and a $20 gift card the Mountain Adventure Center. This is the summer to own a season pass! But you have to hurry because this offer expires on May 26.

As we continue to plan for the 2008 mountain bike season, we also wanted to look back on some of the improvements that will make this season our best ever.

As many of you know, we developed a new machine-groomed trail inside the basin. This new trail allows beginners to get a great taste of downhill mountain biking, and simultaneously allow veterans to rip a smooth line and access the Ballhooter lift. On the western side of the mountain, expansions and improvements were completed to the Powerline trail, and we received great praise for the machine-built race courses.

This summer we hope to build on the work that was completed in 2007. We'll complete the finishing touches on our machine-groomed trail in the basin along with some further development on Powerline, the race courses and existing trails in the basin.

Riders should be aware that the plateau area trails are currently closed. Once these trails are re-opened an announcement will be posted.

Lift Operation News:

The Snowshoe Mountain Bike Park is proud to announce that the Western Express lift will be running every Saturday and Sunday in the months of July and August! This is massive news for all of the riders who love the long trails of the Western Territory. In addition, the Ballhooter lift on the basin side will continue to access the bike park as it has in past seasons. With two high-speed lifts running throughout the core mountain biking season; this summer will be the best ever at Snowshoe Mountain!

2008 Race Series Announces

Snowshoe Mountain's planning for the annual $25,000 Race Series is underway. Snowshoe will once again offer three races, both featuring downhill and dual slalom competitions. Mark your calendars... this summer will be the best ever!

Race #1 - June 27-29, 2008
Race #2 - July 25-27, 2008
Race # 3 - August 29-31
